Preschool Camp Director
Since 1994, SPORTIME has been proud to operate the finest tennis and sports facilities in New York State. SPORTIME clubs serve individuals of every age and athletic ability, 365 days a year.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Preschool Camp Director is responsible for the planning, coordination, and daily operation of the preschool camp program. This role works closely with the Camp Director and General Manager to ensure a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate experience for all campers ages 3–5. The Preschool Camp Director will oversee staff, communicate with parents, and help implement camp policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with the Camp Director to plan and execute daily camp activities and schedules
- Supervise and support preschool camp counselors and staff
- Ensure a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all campers
- Maintain consistent communication with parents/guardians regarding camper needs and experience
- Assist in staff training, orientation, and ongoing performance feedback
- Manage daily operations including attendance, transitions, and activity flow
- Enforce camp policies, safety protocols, and emergency procedures
- Help resolve behavioral issues in a positive, age-appropriate manner
- Attend Weekly Directors Meetings
- Must be able to work for the Full 10-week summer session
- Experience working with preschool-age children (3-5 years old)
- Previous camp or early childhood education experience requires
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with the camp director team
- High Energy, patience, and positive attitude
SALARY: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour commensurate with experience
SCHEDULE: June 29 - September 4, 2026 (with potential pre-camp responsibilities prior to June 29, 2026)
Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
